Two women were killed and 11 others injured in a bomb blast in Myanmar's Shan state on Wednesday, an official statement said.
The explosion at 4.30 p.m. local time hit Yoma bank in Lashio, and also affected nearby AYA bank, leading to window glass getting smashed and cars parked nearby damaged, reported Xinhua, citing a release from the country's Information Ministry.
Those injured were brought to the Lashio General Hospital for urgent treatment.
An investigation on the incident is underway by the authorities.
