The School of Intellectual Property (RGSOIPL) at the Indian Institute of Technology-Kharagpur has inked a deal with the School of George University (GWU) for students and faculty exchanges.

The MoU was signed at a recent meeting in D.C., where Vinod Gupta, a distinguished alumnus and Life Fellow of the IIT-Kgp pledged $2,50,000 for the next five years for exchange of 8-10 students along with a faculty member between GWU and Kharagpur, a statement said on Thursday.

Gupta would provide additional support for the institutions' joint relationship, particularly to support student exchanges.

His previous support has already allowed for such exchanges and for a variety of other activities such as lectures by GW faculty, members at Kharagpur and scholarships for Law graduates to attend GW Law's LLM programme and others, the release said.
