TV presenter and former model Katie Piper, who suffered an acid attack in 2008, says her life has changed in a wonderful way since she discovered she is pregnant. She has also revealed she is expecting a baby girl.
The 30-year-old announced her pregnancy in September.
"This is the start of a whole new life. The other night I was at a charity ball and everyone I met wanted to talk to me about the baby, not about my burns and recovery," reports dailymail.co.uk.
Piper was badly burnt in an acid attack organised by an ex-boyfriend. She now runs her own charitable foundation helping people with burns and scars.
She and her boyfriend James are worried about having a girl.
"Of course, your main concern is that your baby is forming healthily and everything is progressing as it should. But because of everything that has happened to me, I had this slight feeling of panic, thinking 'Oh gosh but it is such a dangerous world for a woman'," she said.
