Minor boy abducted in Delhi rescued from UP's Dadri

A five-year-old boy abducted from by an engineering graduate has been rescued from in neighbouring and the kidnapper arrested, police said on Wednesday.

Police said the 27-year-old accused Asif Saifi, a resident of Brahampuri Dadri, had kidnapped the boy on Monday, following which the latter's father lodged a missing complaint at station.

The accused, an M.Tech student preparing for the civil services examination, had demanded Rs 20 lakh as ransom, police said.

"With the help of local intelligence, a special team rescued the minor after the accused made the ransom call to the family by using a phone borrowed from a passer-by," of told reporters.
