Non-bailable warrant against rape-accused UP minister

Amid efforts to arrest the rape charge accused Uttar Pradesh minister Gayatri Prajapati, police issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) on Saturday against him and six other persons, a police officer said.

Earlier in the day, Prajapati's passport was also revoked for four weeks to prevent the absconding minister from fleeing the country.

Prajapati, the state's Transport Minister, is also a contestant in the state assembly poll.
