The chief ministers of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana will participate in the Northern Zonal Council meet to be held here on Saturday.
The 27th meeting of the council will be presided over by union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and will be hosted by Himachal Pradesh this time.
The lieutenant governor of Delhi, deputy chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir and ministers representing the Rajasthan and Delhi governments will also take part in the meeting.
The council has been playing a significant role in understanding and redressing common issues of neighbouring states in the region and issues of mutual interest.
