Pellegrini named Premier League's manager of month

Manchester City's Manuel Pellegrini has been named Premier League manager of the month for December.

Pellegrini's side, who are currently one point behind leaders Arsenal, didn;t lose a single match in December, taking six wins and a draw, reports Xinhua.

It is the first time the 60-year-old has won the award after joining City last summer.

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez was named the player of the month.

The 26-year-old scored 10 goals last month, including four in the 5-1 thrashing of Norwich City.
