Spain's Attorney General dies in Buenos Aires

Spain's Attorney General Jose Manuel Maza Martin died at a clinic in Buenos Aires where he was being treated for a kidney infection, Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy confirmed.
"The Director of Public Prosecutions, Jose Manuel Maza Martin, has died. My recognition and thanks for a life of work in the service of the state. My deepest condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. Rest in Peace. MR," Rajoy tweeted confirming his death.
The 66-year-old died of a suspected kidney infection in a clinic where he had been taken after feeling ill during the Assembly of Iberian-American Public Ministers in the Argentinean capital, Xinhua news agency reported.
Maza, who suffered from diabetes, is the first Public Prosecutor to die in office.
