The US is headed into an election, which may lead to a gigantic shift in the geopolitical landscape and the global economic order. The US is the world’s largest economy and it sets the global economic agenda. 

Opinion polls indicate Joe Biden has a big lead in the presidential race. In addition, all 435 seats in the House of Representatives (HoR) are up for grabs. The Democratic Party is favourite to defend the HoR majority it holds.
