Tripped up diplomacy

Last week, when the all-party delegation went to the famous Hazratbal shrine in Srinagar, CPI leader Gurudas Dasgupta almost fell off the stairs. The veteran leader, who is always seen taking pro-active steps to hog the limelight, somehow managed to save himself from any serious injury. After the incident, CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury quipped: “It’s our great fortune that you saved yourself. Just imagine what would have happened to us if you had been injured.”
