The Gateway Hotel signs up a new hotel in Kolhapur

The Gateway Hotel today announced the sign up of a new property in Kolhapur in Maharashtra - The Gateway Hotel Kolhapur. The brand, in association with Aryan Hospitality Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of IRB Infrastructure Developers, will develop a 100 room property in Kolhapur. With this announcement, The Gateway Hotel increases its overall portfolio to 37 hotels across the country and further cements its presence across all major cities in India.

Gateway also continues its aggressive growth rate of adding a new hotel to its portfolio every two months. The brand, targeted at the modern nomad was launched in September 2008. The Gateway Hotel is a pan India network of upscale hotels and resorts, catering to the emerging needs of the contemporary traveler. Its portfolio consists of 20 operating hotels and 17 under development. The brand is present across a range of important business and leisure destinations such as – Bangalore, Agra, Varanasi, Ahmedabad, Surat, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Madurai, Coonoor, Chikmagalur, Calicut, Cochin, etc

The Gateway Hotel Kolhapur is slated to be a 100 room hotel in Vikram Nagar facing the Army golf course situated 3 kms away from the city centre. The hotel will be equipped with an all day dining restaurant, a bar, banqueting, conferencing and meeting facilities that will cater to resident and non resident guest requirements. Recreational facilities include a swimming pool and a fitness centre. This hotel is being developed in partnership Aryan Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. – a subsidiary of IRB Infrastructure Developers. IRB undertakes development of various infrastructure projects in the road sector and have been awarded by MSRDC in 2008 for successful implementation of road development program in Kolhapur.

The historic Maratha city, Kolhapur is popularly known as ‘The city of palaces and gardens’. Kolhapur is considered the capital of Marathi film industry and an important venue for film festivals and shooting. The Mahalakshmi Temple situated here attracts more than 30 lakh tourists every year.
