One person was injured after a powerful Improvised Explosive Device (IED) exploded close to a commercial hub of Kasturi Bridge in Imphal city today evening.
Officials said the IED went off in front of a pharmacy. CCTV recording showed a person cloaked in a raincoat and wearing helmet loitering near the pharmacy prior to the blast.
Police commandos led by senior officers have cordoned off the area and a search operation is underway to nab the culprit.
Investigations are on, the police said.
