10 women among 41 held for 'indulging in obscenity' at party

As many as 41 persons, including ten women, were today detained by Cyberabad Police for allegedly indulging in obscenity during a party at a villa near a resort in Shamirpet area on the outskirts of the city.

"Based on the information, Shamirpet Police raided the villa last midnight and found the persons allegedly dancing semi-nude and indulging in other obscene acts in a drunken state," Deputy Commissioner of Police (Balanagar Zone) A R Srinivas said.

Most of those taken into custody include businessmen and students. A case under section 294 (indulging in obscene acts and songs) of the IPC has been booked against them and they are being questioned, police said.
 

No drugs were found at the place, the DCP said.
