Two passengers died and 13 others injured, six of them critically, in a head on collision between a bus and truck this morning near Swahedi village on the Bijnor-Najibabad road, police said.
The two deceased bus passengers, who remain unidentified as yet, include a 50-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man, they said.
Police said the accident took place at 7.30 am just 8 km before Bijnor when the roadways bus, travelling from Kautdwar to New Delhi, collided with the truck, travelling from Bijnor.
Out of the 13 injured, six critically injured have been sent to a Meerut hospital whereas seven others have been admitted to the district hospital.
