2 youths held for burglaries in south Delhi

Two youths have been arrested for allegedly being part of a gang of notorious burglars and thieves active in south Delhi, police said today.

Police said that the accused, identified as Rashid (22) and Imtiyaz Ali (21), were arrested following a tip-off from near the Lado Sarai bus stop yesterday.

One motorcycle, 16 stolen mobile phones, one laptop, two cameras, a wristwatch and some artificial ornaments and house- breaking tools were recovered from their possession.

"With the arrest (of the duo), eight cases of burglary and theft have been solved," said a senior police officer.
