Four persons were killed and another was seriously injured when their car rolled down into a deep gorge near Solan, 40 km from here, this evening.
The accident took place when the driver lost control over the vehicle after he failed to negotiate a sharp curve, police said.
Three persons died on the spot, while another succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Solan. The seriously injured person was referred to PGI, Chandigarh, ASP Manmohan Singh said.
The deceased have been identified as Kartik Kaundal, resident of Nauni (Solan), Rohit Kumar of Chail, Tanissk Thakur of nearby Gadasar village and Sanjay of Ochhghat (Solan).
The injured person has been identified as Manoj of Pajo village, police said.
A case has been registered and investigation is on, Singh said.
