The Himachal Pradesh Police has booked 47 people and seized 12.197 kg of charas, 38.279 kg of poppy husk, 54.5 kg of Ganja, 37.174 grams of heroin, 19.83 grams of cocaine and over 1300 tablets and capsules from across the state, police officials said today.
The seizure was made under a special drive against organised gangs and individuals involved in possession, sale, purchase, transportation, cultivation of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
The drive was launched on January 19 for 100 days.
During past ten days, 41 cases were registered against 47 people, including five Nepalese, for allegedly being involved in the crime, SP (law and order), Khushal Sharma said.
