5 killed in road accidents

Five persons,including a woman, were killed today in two separate road accidents in the city, police said.

Three persons including a tempo driver were killed in an accident that occurred on the Tarsali by-pass bridge, Sajjansinh Parmar, Assistant commissioner of Police (traffic), told PTI.

The tempo hit a scooter in which two persons riding on it were killed. After that, the tempo driver lost control of the vehicle and rammed with another stationary three-wheeler in which he was killed, he said.

In another mishap, two persons including a woman, who had gone for a morning walk, were killed after they were hit by a truck on the Vrundavan-Waghodiya crossing, Parmar said.
 

The driver fled from the spot while the truck has been impounded. A case has been registered and efforts are on to nab the driver, the officer said.
