One killed, 20 injured in road accidents

One person was killed and 20 others were injured in a road accidents in Bihar's Saran and Jamui districts today.

One person was killed and eight others injured in Saran district after a car carrying members of a marriage party collided with a minibus coming from the opposite side on Shitalpur-Parsa road, police officials said.

The injured were hospitalisd.

In another road accident in Jamui district, 12 persons were injured after an autorickshaw carrying them was hit from behind by a speeding bus near Simariya village, Chakai police station in-charge Upendra Kumar said.

The injured persons, hailing from a village of Giridih district in neighbouring Jharkhand, were travelling by the three-wheeler on way to a religious place for worship, he said.
 

All the injured have been admitted to a government hospital for treatment where the attending doctors referred two critical injured women to Sadar hospital.
