58 BLOs booked for dereliction of duty

A total of 58 booth level officers have been booked for alleged dereliction of duty and abstaining from electoral roll revision work at Goverdhan constituency here.

"While action has been taken against 44 BLOs for abstaining from revision work of electoral roll, 14 officers have been booked for obstructing election process," SDM M P Singh said.

He said the matter was of "breach of official duty" and considering it "willful default", an FIR has been registered against them.

"The officers taking the election work casually would not be spared," Singh added.
