800 cartons of liquor worth Rs 17 lakh seized, 2 arrested

Police have seized 800 cartons of liquor worth Rs 17 lakh from a truck on Karnal-Merrut Highway on Thursday, a police official said.

During checking at Bidoli checkpost, the police intercepted the truck and arrested two people with 800 cartons of liquor, said Circle Officer Rajesh Kumar Tiwari.

A case was registered against them under various sections of the IPC, he said, adding that the two accused persons were identified as Harbinder and Ranjit.
