The Aam Aadmi Party's Punjab unit today removed Boota Singh Bairagi from its official list of media penalists for his "acts of indiscipline."

In a statement here, AAP co-president Balbir Singh said Bairagi was warned about his activities of "indiscipline" in the past as well.

"The party took the decision to remove him from media penalists list," he said.

Reacting to the move, AAP MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira said Balbir Singh had no authority to remove Bairagi.

"Balbir has no authority to remove Boota Singh Bairagi as he himself has been removed while resolutions passed on August 2 during Bathinda convention," Khaira said.

The Aam Aadmi Party's Punjab unit is going through a deep crisis after party legislator Sukhpal Singh Khaira was removed recently from the post of leader of opposition in the Punjab Assembly.

A group of MLAs, including Khaira, declared Punjab's AAP "autonomous" while dissolving the present organisational structure of the party at a convention in Bathinda.
