A citizens' forum today demanded that the Centre terminate all its contracts awarded to PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), and accused it of indulging in "forgery", which the auditing major rejected.
Activist lawyer Prashant Bhushan of the 'Citizens Whistleblowers Forum' alleged "inaction" on the part of successive governments against the firm, despite adverse findings, including by a Joint Parliamentary Committee.
Bhushan told reporters, instead of letting the law take its due course, the Centre has involved the PwC in major tasks including "in the black money probe" while the Reserve Bank of India has used its services for audit of its information systems.
