The government is implementing a pilot project based on a software developed by the National Informatics Centre in Najafgarh sub-division under South-West Revenue district.

Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit hoped that with proper computerisation of land records, the government would be able to properly plan developmental works in rural Delhi.

Officials said, under the project basic data pertaining to ownerships-Khatauni and Khasra--of all plots will be made available online which will ensure transparency in mutation of land deals.

In the sub-division of Najafgarh, land record computerisation has been completed in respect of Kharkhari Nahar village where computerised Khatauni is being issued.
