Arhar and its dal prices rose by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale market today on emergence of buying by stockists to meet rising demand from retailers.
However, gram and its dal eased on lack of demand against adequate stocks position.
Traders attributed the rise in arhar and its dal prices to rising demand from retailers against limited arrivals from producing belts.

In the national capital, arhar and its dal dara variety were up by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,800-5,850 and Rs 7,150-7,450 per quintal, respectively.
On the other hand, gram slipped to Rs 3,600-4,200 from last close of Rs 3,650-4,300, while its dal local and best quality traded lower by Rs 50 each to Rs 3,900-4,100 and Rs 4,000-4,300 per quintal respectively on lack of buying support.
