Athlete Theras Joseph chosen for Rosemary Memorial Award

Upcoming athlete Theras Joseph, who had won the relay gold, 800 m silver and 400 m bronze medals in the National School Athletic meet, has been chosen for the inaugural Rosemary Memorial Award for her achievements.

The award, carrying a prize money of Rs 10,001 and a memento would be presented to Theras on May 10 at a function to be held at Tharamassery in the district, Sunny Kokkappilly, father of Rosemary said here today.

The award was instituted in memory of Rosemary, a nursing tutor at a private hospital here, and who died in an accident on February 25, 2012.
