Bank manager arrested over bribe charges in Raj

A bank manager was today arrested by Anti Corruption Bureau for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 in Rajasthan's Chittorgarh district.

Thakur Das, the branch manager of Syndicate Bank in Chittorgarh, had demanded the bribe from Ata Pathan for sanctioning a loan of Rs 3 lakh, according to ACB spokesperson.

Pathan complained to the ACB following which they verified the victim's allegation and laid a trap to arrest the accused manager with the bribe amount, the spokesperson said.

Thakur was arrested under Prevention of Corruption Act, he said.
