BJP MLA Pankaj Singh today pitched for the formation of a municipal corporation in Noida to manage its civic affairs.
The Noida MLA claimed he has "conveyed this idea" to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and is hopeful of a "positive outcome".
"Once the municipal corporation is formed, it will look after various civic issues, like cleanliness, sanitation and water and address them effectively.

"The formation of a municipal corporation in Noida is important as it does not have any urban local body or village panchayat," Singh told PTI today.
He said, "Through Noida, the gateway of Uttar Pradesh, the image and perception of UP is built not only in India, but even in foreign countries. However, in the absence of any urban local body or village panchayat, there seems to be no accountability of the officials towards public."
Recently, the Yogi Adityanath Cabinet announced new municipal corporations for Ayodhya-Faizabad and Mathura- Vrindavan.
