More than three lakh books would be on display during a four-day books convention to be held in Goa from February 26.
This is an attempt to bring together publishers from Marathi, Hindi, Konkani and English. There would be an emphasis on Marathi books, said Sagar Jawdekar, secretary of Bilawdal, which is organising the event.
There will be 150-200 book stalls at the event, to be held at the Kala Academy here. Various discussions would be held during the convention with one day exclusively reserved for women writers, Jawdekar said.
"We are trying to make this as an annual event in Goa," Jawdekar said, adding that school children are expected to participate in a large number during the convention.
