"The rural and border belts of the state are getting focused attention of the government and better connectivity through well laid network of roads is key factor for socio-economic transformation of these areas," Chand said while chairing a high level meeting of officers to review the pace and progress of road projects undertaken in border and far-flung areas of Jammu division.
He said that the government has started mega road upgradation projects all across the state and time bound completion of these would have direct bearing on overall development.
Threadbare discussions were held on the status of various projects undertaken in the border belt and a roadmap was drawn for early completion of these strategically important road links.
