Cardamom futures weaken 0.44% on profit booking

Cardamom prices softened by 0.44 per cent to Rs 1,142 per kg in futures trading today as speculators booked profits at prevailing levels amid tepid demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in February was trading lower by Rs 5.10, or 0.44 per cent to Rs 1,142 per kg in business turnover of 1 lot.
Traders said besides profit booking by participants, muted demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position influenced cardamom prices at futures trade.
