"The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered 109 cases (81 regular cases and 28 preliminary inquiries) against officials of the rank of Joint Secretary and above during the last three years," Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions V Narayanasamy told Rajya Sabha in a written reply.
"Of the total cases, 69 have been disposed of from investigation/inquiry," he said.
As on October 31, 2012, there are two cases pending investigation over five years against the officials of the rank of Joint Secretary and above, Narayanasamy said.
