Cheryl drops Cole from surname

Singer Cheryl has hinted that she may opt for her husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini's surname after she dropped 'Cole' from her Twitter handle.

The singer directed followers to a new handle 'Cerylofficial' hinting that she is finally doing away with her former husband's surname. The 31-year-old, nee Tweedy, was previously married to footballer Ashley Cole.

Cheryl, who got married to Fernandez-Versini in an hush-hush affair, tweeted, "Thank you for all your kind messages and well wishes."

Her new Twitter handle has following message: "It might be the greyest, darkest day you've seen. But beyond those clouds the sun is ALWAYS shining (sic)."
 

Cheryl married Fernandez-Versini after three months of romance.
