Red chilli and jeera prices rose by Rs 200 per quintal in the national capital today in view of fall in supplies from producing belts against higher demand from retailers and stockists.
Besides, a firming trend at futures market also supported the uptrend.
Red chilli prices were up by Rs 200 to conclude at Rs 7,600-12,600 per quintal.

Jeera common and jeera best quality also higher by Rs 200 each to conclude at Rs 11,800-12,000 and Rs 15,000-15,500 per quintal, respectively.
Traders said fall in supplies from producing belts against increased demand from retailers and stockists, mainly pushed up chilli and jeera prices.

Ajwain (per kg) 155-200, black pepper (per kg) 730-920, betel-nut (kg) 270-320, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,525-1,590 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,625-1,775.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 750-800, cardamom (colour robin) 650-670, cardamom bold 670-700, cardamom extra (bold) 870-900 and cloves 730-830.
