Six Congress leaders from Gurgaon today accused party MP Rao Inderjit Singh, who demanded a probe into alleged land controversy including the one involving Robert Vadra, of making baseless allegations on the state government and developing illegal colonies himself.
The Congress leaders in a statement alleged that Singh had developed illegal colony on a 50-acre land belonging to him near Rao Gopal Dev Chowk on Narnaul Road in Rewari district without taking any license from the government.
In a joint statement, Health Rao Narender Singh, Chief Parliamentary Secretaries Rao Dan Singh and Anita Yadav, MLAs Rao Dharampal and Aftab Ahmed and Congress Spokesman Jitender Bhardwaj said that Singh was opposed to the idea of state government following the stipulated norms by issuing license to develop colonies.
Singh's illegal act not only caused revenue loss to the state exchequer but even mislead people as they could not construct houses in the illegal colony, they claimed.
The Congress leader also accused Singh of being involved in several other illegal acts, the statement said.
