To mount pressure on the government on the issue of MP Professional Board Examination scam and to demand resignation of Ram Naresh Yadav, Congress today said it would boycott the Governor's address tomorrow on the opening day of Madhya Pradesh Assembly's budget session.

"We will boycott the Governor's address and demand his resignation in view of his son's alleged involvement in the MPPEB scam," Leader of Opposition Satyadev Katare told PTI.

Since the name of the Governor's son, Shailesh Yadav, surfaced in the chargesheet filed by Special Task Force, the opposition Congress has been seeking his resignation.

Earlier the STF had arrested a former OSD to the Governor, Dhanraj Yadav, for his alleged involvement in the scam that came to light in 2013.

Congress has also sought Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's resignation for his own alleged involvement.

Katare said that the opposition will also demand Chouhan's resignation. Chouhan has termed the allegations as totally baseless and false.
