Contractor stabbed in Dadri

A contractor was stabbed over a financial dispute in Dadri area of Gautam Budh Nagar district, police said today.

The incident took place last night when Rama Shankarm, working in NTPC township here, was attacked with a sharp-edged weapon by another contractor whom he had allotted some work, NTPC police outpost in-charge Ashwini Tyagi said.

He said the incident was fallout of an altercation that the two had over financial dealings.

Shankar was admitted to a hospital in Ghaziabad where his condition is stated to be critical, Tyagi said.

He said an oral complaint has been received and a manhunt has been launched for the accused.
