Death toll rises to four

With two more workers succumbing to injuries in a hospital today, death toll in the recent explosion at a gold ornaments manufacturing unit at Mulangu near here has risen to four.

Police gave the names of the victims as Prasad (36) and Bapithudu (23) from West Bengal.

There are 14 persons still undergoing treatment for burn-injuries of which the condition of four were serious.

Police said the unit was running without necessary permission from appropriate authorities.
