A 56-year-old Delhi Police sub- inspector (SI) allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service pistol inside his car today, the police said.
Bale Singh was posted at the 2nd Battalion, Delhi Armed Police.
He shot himself inside his private vehicle at the New Police Lines in northwest Delhi.
Singh was taken to a hospital where he was declared "brought dead", the police said.
A probe is on to ascertain the motive.
