Dr Agarwal's Eye Hospital to open 50 new hospitals in nxt 3yrs

Expanding its footprint, eyecare service provider Dr Agarwal's Eye Hospital plans to open about 50 hospitals, in India and African region, in the next three years.

The Chennai-headquartered hospital major currently has 51 hospitals in India and Africa and intends to increase the tally to 100 over the next three years.

"In 2006, we had one hospital. Now we have 51 hospitals and our next target is to touch 100 hospitals in the next three years," S Rajagopalan Strategic Business Head at Dr Agarwal's Group of Eye Hospitals told PTI in a telephonic interaction.

Currently Dr Agarwal's Eye Hospital has 39 eye-care centres in India and a total of 12 in African region, including Nigeria, Uganda, Madagascar, Mauritius and Seychelles.
 

"In the next three years, we will increase our India's tally to 75 hospitals from the current 39 and we will also shore up the figure to 25 hospitals in African countries from 12," he added.

The company which has been in expansion mode will open new hospitals in central and eastern part of India.

It has a team of 350 ophthalmologists and more than 1500 paramedical staff to provide quality eye care services round the clock.
