Drug peddler held with intoxicants in Rajouri

A drug peddler was arrested today with intoxicants in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

As a part of special drive against drug menace, police intercepted Shafayat Ahmed at a checkpoint at Rakiban belt in Darhal tehsil of the district and recovered large quantity of corex bottles from his procession, Police officials said.

Police said the notorious peddler was also involved in several cases of smuggling in interiors of Darhal teshil.

He has been booked under relevant sections of the IPC and further investigations, they said.
