Fans converge outside Salman's home ahead of his bail hearing

As the Bombay High Court was set to hear Salman Khan's bail plea in 2002 hit-and-run case, a huge crowd of fans gathered outside the Bollywood superstar's residence in suburban Bandra this morning.

Justice Abhay Thipsay of the Bombay High Court will hear the plea of the 49-year-old actor, who was given two days interim bail by the HC on Wednesday after he was sentenced to for five years rigorous imprisonment by a sessions court in the case.

A strong posse of police were deployed outside Salman's home at Galaxy apartment in Bandra. The actor had a steady stream of visitors yesterday, including MNS chief Raj Thackeray and his Bollywood colleagues like Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha and Karan Johar.
 

Salman was accused of ramming his Land Toyota Cruiser into a roadside bakery shop, killing one person and injuring four others sleeping outside on the pavement.

Meanwhile, Abdullah Sheikh, who was injured in the accident that took place on September 28, 2002, outside the American Express bakery in Bandra, today said he is not interested in whether the actor is punished or not, but he should get compensation.
