Four persons, including a child,
were today killed when the motorcycle they were riding on collided with a tractor here while a girl, who witnessed the accident, died of heart attack, police said.
The incident took place at Bel Bihma village of the district, when the motorcycle collided with a speeding tractor while trying to avoid a stray dog, Munger Superintendent of Police Varun Kumar Sinha said.
The villagers were first to reach the spot but the riders were dead by then, he said.
The deceased, who are in the age group of 25 to 40 years, have been identified as Ganesh Manjhi, Pradeep Manjhi and Arun Manjhi.
The child killed in the accident was identified as Pintu (6). All of them belonged to one family and were residents of Tarapur, police said.
A girl, resident of Bel Bihma, who had gone for morning walk, witnessed the accident and died of heart attack on the spot, they said.
The bodies have been sent for postmortem, and the police is trying to locate the tractor which escaped after the collision.
