Five persons were today killed and another injured when the car in which they were traveling collided head on with an army truck on Kota-Jaipur national highway here, police said.
The deceased were identified as Radhey Shyam Sharma (55), his wife Namrata Sharma (50), Rasheedan Bano (50), Sabina (32) and Arman (7), said Anis Ahemad, SHO Sadar police station.
Nine-year-old Rehan sustained injuries in the mishap and is under going treatment at district government hospital, he added.
The deceased were going to Kota from Jaipur to attend a condolence meeting when their car collided with the army truck going to Nasirabad army contentment.
While four of them were killed on the spot, Arman succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital, he said.
The bodies have been sent for post mortem and the truck has been seized, Ahmed, said, adding further investigations are on.
