Foundation stone of residential school, junior college laid

Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Minister Ravela Kishore Babu today laid the foundation stone of a residential school and a junior college near here.

The two institutes will be constructed at a cost of Rs 15 crore at Adavitakkellapdu in the district.

Babu on the occasion said that another residential school will come up in Kakumanu village in Guntur and its foundation stone will be laid in next couple of days. It will be constructed with a cost of Rs 12 crore.

He said the state government has decided to transform all residential social and tribal welfare hostels as residential schools to provide better education with all modern amenities to students.
 

Under the plan, about 5,000 students will be benefited, he added.
