To promote cashless payments, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has decided to reward those who pay their property tax and trade licence fee in an online transaction.
GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy said cash rewards worth Rs 1.25 lakh would be given to 18 people, among those who pay their property tax online, every week.
He said first prize of Rs 50,000, second prize of Rs 20,000, Rs 10,000 for two persons and Rs 2,500 for eight persons would be given by draw during December 7 to 11.
Six persons, among those who pay trade licence fee online, would get cash rewards of Rs 2500, Reddy said.
