Heavy rains are likely to lash some parts of Odisha tomorrow due to formation of a low pressure area over the sea off north Tamil Nadu and south Andhra Pradesh.
"A well-marked low pressure area now lies over southwest and adjoining west central Bay of Bengal off north Tamil Nadu and south Andhra Pradesh coast," the MET department said today.
Under its influence, rain and thundershower are likely to occur in some areas in southern and one or two places in northern parts of the state, the department said.
Heavy rainfall might also occur in one or two places after 24 hours, it said.
