Himachal Pradesh Governor Urmila Singh and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today expressed grief over the death of former bureaucrat S N Verma.
In their condolence message, they said Verma was a highly distinguished public servant and respected bureaucrat known for his honesty.
Verma died early yesterday after a brief illness. He was 80, and survived by wife and two children.
He had held various important positions in the state including the Secretary (Home), GAD and Managing Director of tourism corporation, among others.
Verma's cremation will take place tomorrow.
