Holiday on February 6 for Panchayat polls

The government has also declared paid holiday in these areas under the NI Act, 1881: Dibrugarh district; Sonitpur district including Tezpur (Sub-division), Biswanath (Civil) and Gohpur (C) sub-divisions; Darrang district; Rangia(C) sub-division of Kamrup district; Nalbari district; Barpeta district including Barpeta(S) and Bajali(C) sub-divisions; Bijni(C) and North Salmara(C) sub-divisions of Bongaigaon districts; Kamrup district and Morigaon district.

Besides state government offices, all offices of the Central government, public sector undertakings, corporations, boards, banks, educational institutions, etc., will remain closed on the day, the release said.
