I pray Kelly comes back into my life, says father

Singer Kelly Rowland's father Christopher Lovett, who was separated from his daughter during her childhood, wishes to reunite with her someday.

When the 32-year-old singer was seven, her mother Doris Rowland Garrison took her and left Lovett because he was an alcoholic, reported Radar online.

"So many previous years have passed and I'm getting old. I just pray she comes back into my life before it's too late," says Lovett said.

Clarkson's father admits that he was a hard drinking husband, who shouted at Garrison in her presence.

"I couldn't control it. I hoped I could make it up to her. But I'm still waiting for that day," he said.
